All About Content Projection Screens

When clients envision the possibilities of AVENUE’s signature 93-foot projection wall, a common question arises: How are slides and videos displayed? In this post, we’ll explore the setup and functionality of AVENUE’s content projection screens and how they enhance your event.

There Actually Are No Screens

Traditional AV setups often include large freestanding screens—12, 16, or even 20 feet in size—paired with front or rear projection to showcase slides and videos during events. At AVENUE, we do things differently. Instead of standalone screens, we project directly onto our ultra-wide south wall.

On top of the 93-foot projection wall, we layer two additional projection areas dedicated to your program content. These two areas on each side of the stage replace traditional screens offering a clean and integrated solution.

Standard Widescreen Dimensions for Content Projection Areas

The two content projection areas utilize standard 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio, making them ideal for a variety of media formats. Our experienced audiovisual technicians trigger the content screen projection according to your run of show tech cues, ensuring a smooth and professional presentation. Use these content areas as you would use traditional screens to display:

  • Videos
  • Presentation slides
  • Photo slideshows
  • Speaker bios
  • Sponsor logos
  • Auction items
  • IMAG (Image Magnification) camera feeds
Slide presentations with videos increase audience engagement.

Creative Design Ideas

While the content projection areas are distinct from the ultra-wide projection wall, they offer exciting opportunities for creative integration. Many clients have designed their slides to complement the projection wall, incorporating animations or transparent backgrounds that enhance the visual experience.

For example, some events have used the content areas to create dynamic effects, like looping animated slides that seamlessly interact with the main projection wall’s visuals. This cohesive approach elevates the overall impact, captivating audiences and leaving a lasting impression.
